Java Jazz Festival 2012

I went to Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival on Sunday, March 4th. It is one of the largest jazz events worldwide, with hundreds notable and famous artists performing there. Overall it was awesome and I had a good time there.
Bobby McFerrin
First I went to Bobby McFerrin’s show, with his talented capella and beatboxing skill.

Then his son comes up and performs a Capella duet with him.

Barry White Show
I also attended Barry White show, although he’s not the real Barry White, he brings back good memories of Barry White’s Legendary Songs

He also sings the legendary song, “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe”
Dave Koz
Next is one of the highlight of Sunday’s Java Jazz, Dave Koz

He opens the show with Indonesian very famous song popularized by Ada Band, “Manusia Bodoh”.

Then he continues with another famous Indonesian song, “Keliru”

He also performs songs from his newest album.

A lot of people gathers to watch him.

One of his new songs title is “Anything’s Possible”.

One of his favorite singer in Indonesia is Briptu Norman.

He also performs with notable and famous guitarist.

He said he likes Indonesia and the people.

He said he would come back on next year’s Java Jazz Festival

Al Jarreau and George Duke Trio
This is one of few special show available in these festival. Special shows on Sunday are Stevie Wonder, and Pat Metheny, and Al Jarreau’s. Al Jarreau collaborates with George Duke and his musicians and give a really stunning performances, giving us a whole new experience of Jazz music.

Al Jarreau does a really good job in his age.

Here is the last performance of the day, a death jazz group from Japan, SOIL & “PIMP” Sessions. They really did finish Java Jazz with a good end!
